Bittersweet!!

Today is a bittersweet day! We’re done diving, done packing and sad to leave this wonderful place. And we’re happy to go home.

I discovered a lot! Let’s start with blogging…. I need to do better at it. It was very hard to come back at the end of each day and report about all of the wonderful dives and wonderful people, both on the trip and the team that provided us with impeccable service. Our days were filled with diving, eating and chatting. I hope the next dive trip, I’ll do better.

Another thing I discovered is how hospitable the Filipinos are. At every turn all of the people we encountered were so genuine to share their lives and experiences. I am so grateful for coming to the Philippines. This is the first time traveling anywhere that both Jamie and I feel so strongly about coming back to the same place.

We’ve traveled with the same core group of people and have met a few new divers that I cannot wait to get to know better when we get back home. TLSea Travel has created an amazing travel experience that has has “changed our lives”. Jamie and I met the owners back in 2010 to start our scuba journey when we got open water certified. Not only are they wonderful travel companions, but they’ve also shared wonderful trips from the Philippines to Mexico to the Maldives to Indonesia. We are looking forward to more travel experiences.

I also want to mention how much we’ve missed our family. And we also appreciate Alina taking care of the house and our fur-babies while we’ve been gone the past couple of weeks. I’ve also missed my team at work. I appreciate them holding down the fort and I cannot wait to tell them the stories that I’m sure will make them laugh.
